Dr Alastair Bint, MBChB DGM DFSRH DRCOG MRCGP MEWI, is a full time GP partner in an NHS training General Practice in Guildford, Surrey. He is an accredited expert specialising in alleged medical negligence in General Practice. Dr Bint does not generally undertake personal injury work, preferring instead to concentrate on breach of duty and medical negligence.
Dr Bint has received instructions from all over the UK and Ireland and is widely acknowledged as a robust witness. He is accredited with the Expert Witness Institute, the UK Register of Expert Witnesses, AvMA, and is a commentator for the Royal College of General Practitioners on medico-legal and professional issues. He has recently been formally recommended for Fellowship of the Royal College.
Additionally, Dr Bint trains junior doctors in General Practice, works as a Clinical Lead and is Chairman of the South West Thames faculty of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He is author of numerous medical and medico-political articles and has written guidance for the UK register of Expert Witnesses as well as been a commentator on legal texts published by Oxford Universiy Press.
